April 15, 2025 - Canton High School

One important aspect to our film was incorporating an educational element. Well, today we began filming with our selected students at Canton High School who will be conducting a research project on World War II veterans. It was an exciting shoot with the students, and we learned that a handful of them had great-grandparents who served during the war. During out time in the class, we filmed the teacher’s introduction about his grandfather in the war, along with the introduction to the project and several Q&A‘s with the class. Over the next several weeks, we will visit the class to film additional footage of them working on the project as well as field trips to a couple of important historical places which honor veterans. This will truly be one of the highlights of our post war segment in the film. The students will culminate their research by marching in the Memorial Day parade in Plymouth, Michigan.
