April 14, 2025 - Michigan Air Museum

We decided after interviewing two Rosie the Riveters, it was time to include someone from the tribute team who had a great depth of knowledge on the importance of their role in the war effort, and the Arsenal of Democracy as it pertained to Detroit. Our interviewee today was Claire Dahl who was a former school teacher and had a great deal of information and inspiration to share with us. We filmed inside of the Michigan flight Museum located in Ypsilanti, Michigan, formally known as the Yankee air Museum. They have a great Rosie the Riveter exhibit which will be featured in our film as well. Claire also provided a sample of how rivets were actually aapplied to airplanes.
